I am a British West Indian immigrant. My family and I migrated to the USA when I was 16 years old.
I grew up in New York and after graduating from high school, I immediately started taking liberal arts classes at Borough of Manhattan Community College.
In 1999, I landed a job with the airline. I considered myself fortunate because I was privileged to utilize my employment as credit toward my internship.
After deciding on a career path, I majored in both business management and travel & tourism curriculum
I graduated in June 2000 with an A.A.S (Associate in Applied Science Degree).
Subsequent to graduation, I registered in the hospitality management degree program at New York City College of Technology.
During my enrollment at the University, I was awarded a scholarship to live in France as an international student. with 29 others other students from the same college.
Ecole Hoteliere De Paris and received a certificate in hospitality management upon completion.
After returning to the US, I resumed my other classes to complete my degree program.
One year later, I graduated with my Bachelor of Technology Degree in Hospitality Management.
In June of 2005. I did a job relocation with my airline during which time my aspiration to become an interior decorator evolved after watching Christopher Lowell interior design show while residing in New York.
In conclusion, looking back at that decisive decision that I made, I think it has paid off and I have no regrets. Because I would be lacking various graphic and drafting skills at this juncture of my life.
